Scarly Lopez, an Analyst at Orvida Capital, brings a wealth of expertise in real estate and general finance to the firm’s quantitative services. His ability to provide comprehensive underwriting across all areas of Orvida’s business ensures our strategies are both innovative and grounded in solid financial principles.
Prior to joining Orvida Capital, Lopez made his mark as a Financial Consultant at Cap Cana. Here, he demonstrated his acumen in managing high-risk capital, formulating business models for tourism projects, and implementing risk valuation assessment processes. His strategic financial planning and budget control were instrumental in reaching the company’s established goals.
Lopez also served as Business Valuation Manager at Dream City Caribbean Residence & Resort. In this role, he managed an array of fixed income securities portfolios, with a cumulative value exceeding US$1.2 billion. Additionally, as an Investment Manager at G MAT Sociedad Administradora de Fondos de Inversión, he honed his skills in fund management, designing strategies for capital raising, and structuring investment portfolio valuation methodologies.
Lopez received a Master’s degree in Bank & Security Markets from Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidad Católica Santo Domingo (UCSD). His robust educational credentials, combined with his bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, and his broad professional experience, make him a key asset to the Orvida Capital team.
